VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. It's a technology that allows you to make voice calls using an internet connection instead of a traditional landline or mobile network.

🔧 How VoIP Works:

  1. Voice Signal Conversion: Your voice is converted from analog (sound waves) to digital data.

  2. Data Packetization: This data is broken into small packets.

  3. Transmission Over IP: Packets are sent over the internet (via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or mobile data).

  4. Reception and Playback: The recipient's device reassembles and converts the packets back into sound.

  • Power Outages: No service during outages unless you have battery backup.

  • Emergency Calls: Some VoIP services may not support 911 or may route it incorrectly.
